Publicació del llibre "Spain 1936 Year Zero"

En el 80è aniversari de la Guerra Civil espanyola es publica de la mà de Sussex Academic Press el llibre SPAIN 1936 YEAR ZERO, coordinat pels professors Raanan Rein i Joan Maria Thomàs. El llibre constitueix una reflexió sobre els primers mesos de la guerra, aquells que abastaren el mateix any 36, reestudiant el conflicte tant des de la perspectiva dels dos bàndols en guerra -l'Espanya republicana i l'Espanya en mans dels militars rebels- com des de la dels principals països implicats, per acció o omissió en el conflicte -la Unió Soviètica, l'Alemanya nazi, la Itàlia feixista, Gran Bretanya, França i Portugal- com d'altres més llunyans, com Mèxic o Japó. El volum inclou també un estudi del paper de les dos a ambdues zones, sobre les Olimpíades Populars que s'havien de celebrar a Barcelona els primers dies de la guerra així com reflexions sobre el paper jugat per literats com Rafael Alberti i Teresa León, entre d'altres.
